The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season presents a diverse group of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season vary widely, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Will we find out more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
