I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
