In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has unveiled an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where rumors of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden group.

The questline focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Metamorphoses

The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Special Rewards and Extra Material

Players who successfully complete the mission will acquire an special katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Unique arms

Newest Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's newest free story addition, titled "The Enigma."
